Dr John Towler

Lecturer

Room: Vivian Tower Room 904

I’m an experimental psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist who has spent the past six years researching face perception and recognition in typical individuals and people with prosopagnosia (or face blindness). I’ve just recently moved from London to begin lecturing and to continue with my research. This year I will be teaching individual differences in Personality and Intelligence to first year students, and I am excited to be a part of the Swansea University Psychology Department!

red_lightIn my day job I can be found scrutinising images of brain activity, thinking about brain-behaviour relationships, writing, and designing experiments. When I’m not working I can often be found asking questions, being opinionated, vaping, writing songs and shouting, vaping, and desperately wondering why we still have a Tory government (sometimes all of the above at once).

To find John, go to the 9th floor of Vivian Tower, come out the lift and walk through the double doors. Turn right and follow the corridor around. John’s office is on the left hand side.
