Room: 716 Vivian Tower
I have research interests in obesity and eating behaviour and Health Psychology in general. I teach on the Research Methods Module in the 1st year and on the Eating disorders module of the MSc Abnormal and Clinical Psychology. I enjoy exploring the underlying cognitive mechanisms that drive over eating behaviour and testing ways to enhance self-control.
I am from Swansea and have lived here all of my life (apart from the 3 years I studied for my undergraduate degree in Cardiff). I have a PGCE and taught A Level for a number of years before undertaking my MSc and PhD at Swansea University, finally going on to becoming a lecturer here in the Psychology department.
I have three sons and enjoy exploring the Gower coastline with them. I am an animal lover and have 2 dogs and 3 cats at home. I also enjoy trail running and taking part in extremely wet and muddy trail running events. I practice yoga and meditation and have an interest in balanced and holistic approaches to health and wellbeing.
To find Menna, you go up to the 7th Floor of Vivian Tower, walk through the double doors and turn left. At the corner turn left again and Menna’s office is the last on the right.
