Room: 806 Vivian Tower
I am a developmental psychologist and teach child psychology in 1st Year and 3rd year of our undergraduate programme. I enjoy exploring how children learn from their environment, such as how infants learn to imitate or the potential effects of video game play during adolescence.
I am originally from Shropshire but came to Wales at the age of 18 to start University and never left (well other than the odd holiday).
Before becoming a parent I used to enjoy trying new activities, such as zorbing or off-road segway trails, and even stayed in the jungle with only a mosquito net between me and the outside world while I slept. Now a days, you are more likely to see me walking on the beach, exploring the National Waterfront Museum or spending time with my children at the LC2’s soft play area – I’m sure it’s for big kids too really ;). In the evenings I enjoy watching online streaming series such as The Defenders or Outlander. You can also find me on twitter, normally tweeting about my pet hates, such as the categorisation of children’s clothes and toys based on gender.
To find Vicky, go to the 8th floor of Vivian Tower, walk through the double doors and turn right. At the corner turn right. Vicky’s office is the second door on the left.
